Preserving the Independent Contractor with TIE, John Kellenberger & Scott Brenner

  • Crosswinds Golf Club 232 James B Blackburn Drive Savannah, GA, 31408 United States (map)

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Savannah Traffic Club will present special guest speakers John Kellenberger & Scott Brenner, Preserving the Independent Contractor with TIE. The event will take place at noon, at Crossroads Golf Club located at 232 James B. Blackburn Drive in Savannah, GA.

Kellenberger and Brenner will be presenting on TIE's efforts to promote and preserve the Independent Contractor model in trucking. Increasingly, the IC model is under attack by private plaintiff actions and state and federal government efforts to reclassify the owner-operator as employees. Examples include AB-5 in California as well as the proposed federal IC rule. These efforts, if successful, would destroy a business model (owner-operator) that has been recognized as a successful legitimate business model for over 80 years.
