Improvements are under way at the Port of Brunswick's Colonel's Island facility. Learn more in our “Growing Big” video series.
The progress keeps rolling at the Georgia Ports Authority, as we continue to invest for the future.
At the Port of Brunswick, $250 million in improvements are under way to increase Roll-on/Roll-off capacity and throughput.
Construction is moving on 500,000 square feet of warehousing, including near-dock storage to provide auto processing space for vehicles and heavy machinery.
The GPA is also paving the way for more parking by developing 100 acres of new space, with another 350 acres available for future growth.
With a new berth under construction, and the Brunswick Harbor Modification Project in progress, the GPA is gearing up to receive additional and larger vessels.
All these improvements set the Port of Brunswick on track to provide an annual capacity of 1.4 million units of cars and heavy machinery when construction wraps up later this year.
