SEDA named Site Selection magazine Mac Conway recipient for 5th year in a row
For the fifth year in a row, SEDA has been named a Mac Conway Awards for Excellence in Economic Development recipient by Site Selection magazine. The award, named in honor of Site Selection founding
publisher H. McKinley "Mac" Conway, is awarded to the top 25 local and regional U.S. economic development groups based on an index of corporate job creation and facility-related capital investment data calculated both cumulatively and per capita.
"'Trip Tollison and the Savannah Economic Development Authority were exemplary hosts during our site visit,' wrote Hyundai Motor Company Global President and COO early this year on a LinkedIn post in response to publication of Site Selection's coverage of his
company's $5.5 billion metaplant now rising along I-16 just northwest of Savannah. SEDA has helped the project from the beginning, as Gary Daughters documents earlier this year, and suppliers continue to stream into the region with their own substantial investments."
