Business Spotlight: Georgia Ports Authority & Garden City Terminal

The Savannah Traffic Club presented a Business Spotlight on Georgia Ports Authority - Garden City Terminal.  Each of the five groups of people, guided by a GPA executive, were driven around the Garden City Terminal by a bus so they could learn first hand of how the port operates.

The groups saw the many cranes loading or unloading vessels docked at the terminal.  The guides explained the operations of the port and the future expansion of where container chasis would be stored to make it easier for trucks to pick up empty chasis to mount containers.

Each tour lasted for close to an hour.  The individuals waiting their turn  to tour the terminal enjoyed a full barbecue dinner from Babe's at the Market, Garden City, Georgia.
